The journey from Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral is about 45 miles and takes at least 45 minutes for the trip. The best way to drive from Orlando to Port Canaveral Cruise Terminals is on SR-528 (Beachline Expressway), a toll road. In 2024, Princess Cruises will begin to homeport the iconic “love boat” cruise ship, the Caribbean Princess, at Port Canaveral. Port Canaveral is currently homeport to 20 ships, including Carnival, Disney, MSC, Norwegian (NCL), Royal Caribbean and Marella Cruises.
